Hello All! Happy Friday to all of my lovely readers.
First and foremost, I hope you all had a fantastic week and had an opportunity to try some of those tips on the previous blog. If so, I’d love to know what worked and what didn’t.
Today, I’d like to discuss something that my husband often says. He and I agree that life is short, in some cases too short. Both of us lost our grandmothers within two months of each other, and such a loss left us hurting and questioning why that had to happen.
We can’t pretend to know the answer to that question, but one thing we both believe wholeheartedly is that every individual deserves to be honored and loved while they are alive. At funerals, you see a lot of flowers, in fact, some people even send flower arrangements as gifts to the bereaving family members. What I propose is that we give each other roses while we are alive. In this sense, I’m not literally talking about flowers, but I’m referring to honor, love, and affection.
The last set of tips I gave was to do something nice for you. Now’s your chance to show appreciation to someone else. Weekend Tip: honor your loved one(s) with your undivided attention. Have an unplugged couple of hours where you watch a movie together, play a board game, an impromptu dance party, rap contest, or cook a meal together. Show them how much you love them and have fun and make memories while doing it. Little by little you will have less stress and more rest. Have a blissfully, restful weekend!
